Above all, AALI benefits you, the participant, more than any other individual involved.

We recognize that as college students, many may lack substantial job experience or accredited training to apply for particular positions, and AALI will not only develop you with set of skills, but also honor you with an official letter of support from The University of Texas Multicultural Information Center. AALI offers 16 hours of leadership training without any required fees from the students, and will link participants with leaders in the community to build supportive connections and contacts. Participants will simultaneously help plan for the spring, Pan-Asian American, statewide conference, an unprecedented event, in UT.

To wrap it all up, you get great training, a chance to plan a historical conference (and be part of Asian American history!), significant experience and letter of recommendation from a University center for your resume - all for two hours a week and no charge to you.
